Charming romantic comedy set in a small-town community theatre. The subject of the play—as we are told at the outset—is love, pure and complicated. Set on the stage of The North Crawford Mask & Wig Club “the finest community theatre in central Connecticut!”, this Kurt Vonnegut story is about a talented local actor who takes on the personality of the character he is playing. When he is not in a play, he doesn’t seem to have any personality. A new worker at the phone company is cast as his leading lady and falls in love with him. With Vonnegut's singular wit and insight into human foibles, this is a smart, delightful comedy for the whole family. The cast require 3 males and 4 females.
